Vriksha
Vriksha is a Sanskrit word that means tree. Trees and forests are a huge source of inspiration and strength for me. They ground me and bring me back to my roots when I have lost direction. This series started as a means to destress. I drew as I walked around them for a moment of peace and quiet. I relinquished control of my pen completely and submitted to the earth and movement resulting in unique marks and free form shapes. The colors and the details are a by product of my Indian heritage.
